A special dining event will bring a Vancouver chef to Over-the-Rhine next month.
Wildweed will host Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson on November 9 for a one-night-only collaboration. Stieffenhofer-Brandson is the head chef at Published on Main in Vancouver, British Columbia. He will work alongside Wildweed chef David Jackman and the restaurant team. The menu will feature a collaborative tasting course available at the Chef’s Counter. The restaurant will also offer a la carte options for guests who do not book the counter seat.
The partnership stems from a shared hometown. Both chefs grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They later moved their careers to the West Coast. The two have worked together on previous projects during their time in that region.
Published on Main holds a Michelin Star. It also ranked first on the list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants. The publication placed the restaurant 17th on its North America’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Wildweed recently received the One to Watch Award from the same source earlier this year.
Reservations for the standard dining room are available now on OpenTable. Reservations for the Chef’s Counter experience will open at noon on Friday, October 23. Patrons can book either option through the OpenTable platform. More details are available on the Wildweed website.
